
VOLUNTEER
Head Coach
The head coach is responsible for planning and carrying out practices, assessing player skills, aiding in development and creating a supportive and positive environment. The head coach should be familiar with the rules and regulations of the game of fastpitch softball.
Assistant Coach
Each team should have one or two assistant coaches. The role of the assistant coach is to provide assistance to the head coach by running drills during practices, base coach during games and to aid in assessing player skills. The assistant coach will be responsible for stepping in when the head coach cannot attend practices and/or games.

Manager
Responsible for overseeing the team's operations, ensuring smooth coordination, and supporting the players and coaches. Their duties typically include organizing practice and game schedules, managing equipment and uniforms, handling administrative tasks like registration and communication, coordinating travel arrangements, and fostering a positive team environment. They play a key role in ensuring the team functions efficiently both on and off the field.

Scorekeeper
The scorekeeper is responsible for communicating with the other teams scorekeeper to input both team's line ups into the scoresheet and maintain an accurate and legible summary of the game.
On-Field Helper
On-field helpers will assist coaches with running stations, setting up/tearing down equipment, packing equipment, raking fields etc.
Tournament Support
Tournament Support is responsible for filling volunteer roles at local tournament and coordinating team events at tournaments.

Criminal record checks
All WKMSA coaches and parent helpers are required by law to complete a BC Criminal Record Check. This is a mandatory requirement for anyone who steps on the field or in the dugout.
The results of the criminal record check will be sent to your organization’s authorized contact person via e-mail.
